This program is designed for observational purposes only, and observers will not be permitted to offer any form of patient care or advice during their visit. The Division of Vascular Surgery & Endovascular Surgery is dedicated to offering college students a chance to acquire fundamental laboratory experience. In this program, students will learn various molecular biology techniques and explore the development of device technology for aneurysms, as well as novel biologic therapies to improve the outcomes of bypass surgery, promote new blood vessel growth, and ameliorate the progression of PAD. UC student affiliate program is intended for enrolled/registered UC students (not UC extension) who are seeking short-term experience in research or other academic project under the supervision of an academic appointee or principal investigator. Students will not be allowed to participate in any clinical observations. The time spent at UCSF during the school year should not exceed 49% time.
