Elizabeth Anderson is a Nurse Practitioner in the Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery. She works with both the inpatient and outpatient clinic teams and is passionate about providing the best care possible to our patients with vascular disease. Elizabeth worked as a bedside RN on the Cardiovascular and thoracic surgery unit at UCSF Medical Center since 2003, after earning her BSN from St. Mary's/Samuel Merritt College. She went on to complete her Master's of Science with a specialty focus in care of acutely ill adults at UCSF in 2010. After graduating, she joined the Division of Critical Care and Trauma at Mayo Clinic and worked for 5 years as a critical care NP while living in Rochester, Minnesota. She moved back to her home of San Francisco to be closer to family and returned to UCSF Medical Center. She worked with advanced lung disease patients for 2 years before joining the Vascular Surgery team. Elizabeth truly enjoys working with residents, fellows in training and is eager to promote education and career development for RNs/NPs. She enthusiastically precepts nurse practitioner students and works with the UCSF School of Nursing. Her background in critical care, trauma, and pulmonary disease is a strength she brings to the Vascular Surgery team. She enjoys seeing patients both in the hospital and in the clinic to provide continuity of care and wellness among our patients with vascular disease.
